💰 How does earning work?
+
Every approved chore earns points. Points convert to real dollars at the rate you set — for example, 100 pts = $1.00. You control the rate and can cap how much each kid earns per pay period. All of it is configurable in Settings → Compensation Model.
🧹 How do I set up chores?
+
In the Chores tab, tap + Add Chore. Give it a name, point value, and frequency (Daily, Weekly, or As Needed). You can require a photo as proof of completion and add a standards description — a note that tells the kid exactly what "done" looks like before they submit.
📸 What is photo proof — and can you fake it?
+
When a chore requires a photo, the kid must take a picture at submission time — not upload one from their camera roll. Photos are checked for recency using EXIF metadata, and duplicate images are blocked. You review every photo before it counts.
⭐ What is "Exceeded Expectations"?
+
When approving a chore, you can rate the quality 1–3 stars and add bonus points for exceptional work. The stars show up on the kid's dashboard so they know you noticed. It's a way to reward going above and beyond — not just getting it done.
📅 What is a Pay Period?
+
A pay period is the window of time points accumulate in — just like a real job's pay cycle. You can set it to Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Semi-Monthly, Monthly, or As Needed. At the end of each period, you tap 💰 Pay Out to record the payouts and kick off a fresh period automatically.
🏖️ What is a PTO day?
+
PTO days are pre-scheduled days off — vacations, sick days, whatever you choose. Set them per kid in Settings. On a PTO day, the kid's dashboard shows a rest screen instead of chores. PTO days appear in History with a 🏖️ badge and are excluded from the kid's completion rate.
📊 What does History show?
+
History shows the last 7 days with a color-coded breakdown per kid. Each kid has their own color, and each day shows a bar representing how many of their chores were approved. At a glance you can see who's been consistent — and who hasn't.
👧 How does my kid access the app?
+
You share a household link with your kids. They open it on any device — phone, tablet, or browser — and enter their 4-digit PIN. No email address, no account creation, no app download required. Simple enough for young kids to do on their own.
💳 What's the difference between the plans?
